Frequently Asked Questions

  1. Q: If I live in one of the states that are part of the Yeomanry, do I have to make The Yeomanry my PC's home region?

A: No, your PC can have any home region you wish. Most people do choose a home region where they will be playing regional adventures to take advantage of the decreased TU cost.

  2. Q: Which human subrace should I be in the Yeomanry?

A: You can choose any of them, however the most prevalent humans in the Yeomanry are Suel or Oeridian, with a minority of Flan. Please also note that you can be a mixed blood human, or even one with such a varied lineage that it is impossible to determine one subrace over another.

  3. Q: I want to join a Yeomanry meta-org, what do I do?

A: You download the relevant certificate and print it out. Be sure you meet the qualifications and fill out the certificate appropriately. After any Yeomanry regional adventure, have your DM sign and date your certificate. Be sure you pay any gold and TU costs that may be required.

  4. Q: I've joined the Yeomanry militia. How do I pay my TU's with regards to some adventures being militia activated ones?

    A: You have 2 options.
Option 1 is to deduct all 12 TU's at the first of the year (or immediately when you join). Then, when you play an adventure that your DM tells you is military activated, you may mark 0 TU's spent and indicate militia in the margin next to it. You must be careful that you do not take more than 12 TU's worth of 0's in this fashion.
Option 2 is to deduct your military TU's as you go. Paying TU's as normal when you play military adventures, and indicate somewhere on the AR "militia X of 12". At the end of the year, you will need to pay any militia TU's remaining of the 12 that you did not serve in play. YOU MUST REMEMBER TO PAY ALL 12 by the end of the year or your service will be reset. You may choose whichever option suits your bookkeeping style the best, just be consistent and be sure to have accurate paperwork in all cases.

  5. Q: How do I get some land?

A: You must be a Yeomanry citizen to own land.

  6. Q: How do I become a Yeomanry citizen?

A: To become a citizen, you must serve 3 consecutive years in the militia OR you must achieve Tier 5 (Priest) in the Church of the Seven Faiths OR you must achieve Tier 3 (Master) in the Craft and Trade Guild.

  7. Q: I want to get access to a limited Prestige Class / Spell / Feat. Can you give me access?

A: We can sometimes grant access to limited things through Special Missions. To request a Special Mission, your PC needs to be a Yeomanry resident, the thing you are requesting needs to fit into the Yeomanry region, and you must send a request to the Triad at yeomanry-triad@yahoogroups.com. Not all Special Mission requests are granted. Approval will depend on how we feel about the thing you are requesting access too, it's relevance to the Yeomanry, and the amount of time we have to write a mission.
