Yeomanry Prestige Classes

One of the tasks given to each of the regional Triads is to create a number of prestige classes that are unique to their given region. Prestige classes are like regular classes, except that they have requirements that must be met before one can attain the class. Requirements vary, depending upon the prestige class pursued. Characters who qualify may choose a prestige class as a multiclass to pick up as they advance in a level. Taking a multiclass does not incur the experience point penalties normally associated with multiclassing. The abilities gained from a prestige class often are not available to PCs, and particular prestige classes can focus a PC in a specific, interesting direction. A character with a prestige class is more specialized, yet perhaps slightly better than one without one. Prestige classes offer a number of special abilities, including at least some not available in any other way. Qualifying for a prestige class is difficult and taking levels of the new class is a sacrifice, so the rewards are substantial.

A newly-created 1st-level character cannot be a member of a prestige class, as abilities granted by prestige classes are inappropriate for 1st-level characters. Prestige classes are acquired only by meeting the requirements specific to each. Additionally, a character must meet any nonrule-related requirements in-game, such as group membership fees, special training exercises, quests, and so forth. A player wishing to become a member of a prestige class must coordinate his or her efforts with the Triad. The Triad will make sure that your character in fact does meet the minimum requirements of the class, and a certificate will be given to you to signify your membership. Character support should be available at most conventions in the Yeomanry Region and at larger, nationwide shows such as GenCon, Origins, and Winter Fantasy. The Triad suggests you use this membership to roleplay your character, particularly in Living Greyhawk Interactives.

With this said, the Yeomanry currently has three prestige classes available. Note that any of these rules are subject to change.
