The Valorous Sister of Mayaheine
The Valorous Sisters of Mayaheine were established in 580 CY by Carea and Exia Lawheart, sisters by blood and defenders of Mayaheine, the goddess of protection, justice, and valor, by faith. Carea, a highly-skilled warrior, had become frustrated with the male-dominated hierarchy or most Yeoman fighting organizations, while Exia, her sister, faced hardships and barriers in her attempt to be the first woman to found a temple to her beloved goddess. By 580 CY, the sisters' predicaments seemed hopeless. Carea, letting her temper and frustrations get the best of her, publicly called the existing Warriors' Guilds "chauvinistic boys clubs," thus virtually eliminating any chance of membership for her. Meanwhile, Exia gave up her dream of building a temple to Mayaheine as the necessary funding was sorely lacking.
In a bold move, the sisters decided to pool their resources and construct a small building in Longspear that would meet both of their needs. The building would be used as a training ground, which would train women to fight, to believe in themselves and their abilities, and to become protectors of their homeland, the Yeomanry. At the same time, the building would serve as a temple and a center of learning for those women who would embrace the word of Mayaheine. Thus was born the Valorous Sisters of Mayaheine.
As of 591 CY, the public response to the Sisterhood, particularly by women, has been overwhelmingly positive. Membership has expanded to nearly 200, and the existing temple has already been expanded. Talk currently exists of building a branch of the Sisterhood in Loftwick as well. Local orphanages have served as a good source of members in recent years, and the young girls embrace the opportunity to leave the orphanage and build their own lives. Carea trains the women in all martial skills, and Exia trains the women in the teachings of Mayaheine and her healing abilities. A side effect of the Sisterhood, especially in Longspear, has been the creation of a vast information network of women, ranging from prostitutes to tavern girls to members of the local government.
The Sisterhood does have its critics, however. The local Warriors' guild in Longspear looks at it suspiciously. Recently, there have been a few cross words exchanged between the sisterhood and the local temple of Boccob the Uncaring. The official church of Mayaheine has yet to recognize the Sisterhood in an official capacity, but rumor has it that the High Priestesses are quite happy with the Sisterhood's progress and official recognition is not far from becoming a reality.

At 9th level the Sister of Mayaheine can now communicate with her fellow Sister via telepathy. This ability allows the Sister of Mayaheine to communicate through her mind as if she were speaking normally.
